Position summary


As an Industrial Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for the safe operation of all production equipment, packaging equipment, & facility needs. This is a dual role where you will be responsible for leading a team of 5-6 maintenance technicians and also self-performing repairs and maintenance work.


Job Duties:


Supervise the technicians that are on shift

Plan the daily work schedule

Prioritize/schedule daily break down repairs

Identify & inventory needed parts, tools, and supplies

Assist with PM & SOP creation

Work with production to identify and correct any equipment or facility issues

Manage technician time cards, PTO, breaks, and absences

Train technicians on company policies and maintenance practices

Complete shift report

Perform & report PM’s

Proactively identify and repair equipment and facility issues to minimize downtime

Perform emergency breakdown troubleshooting and repairs

Setup and assemble production and packaging equipment

Troubleshoot and repair electric and mechanical equipment issues

Communicate effectively and professionally with the production team

Identify, track, & perform work orders

3+ years as an industrial maintenance supervisor & prior technician experience

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience in the packaged food or beverage industry

Knowledge and ability to work in a GMP environment

Lock out/Tag out

VFD/motor/gearbox troubleshooting, installation, & programming

HVAC & refrigeration working knowledge

Low and high voltage troubleshooting knowledge: Control voltages, I/O, single phase source power, and 3 phase source power. Proficient with a multi meter

Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, and P&ID’s.

General facility repair knowledge—floors, walls, light plumbing, drains, & lighting

Allen Bradley/Siemans PLC troubleshooting experience a plus

Fabrication/machining/welding skills

Self-starter and ability to work on your own and manage your own time

Strong communication skills

Strong problem-solving skills; root cause analysis of machine issues

Attention to detail and willingness to fix the problem correctly

Flexible work schedule that may include some OT, weekend, or holiday work

$90,000 - 110,000 DOE
