Operations Technician (FC) Position Profile Department: Operations Supervisor: Operations Manager Brief Description: Completes and helps lead others in completing the actual installations, work orders or projects, including the ability to function effectively on both the D&I (delivery and installation) and MAC (moves, adds, and changes) responsibilities of the Operations Department. This involves assuring safe & proper installation of the furniture according to the installation drawings & instructions, safe & efficient move of all boxes and equipment according to instructions and customer protocols, as well as directing the efforts of other junior teammates and/or sub-contractors. Position Responsibilities: Organization – Plan and implement assignments to best complete daily goals Accountability –Load, secure, unload, move, install, and clean furniture and worksite in a safe manner, preventing damage to product, truck, or building; Keep abreast of all developments during daily routines, and take responsibility for the proper completion of the work orders or projects; Communication – Maintain contact with customers, designers, contractors, and other trades on the jobsite to assure a smooth flow for the duration of the project; Report any problems with the truck, product, customer, or schedule immediately Documentation – Understand, complete and submit all paperwork accurately and promptly, including daily truck log, pre-installation check lists, job hazard analysis (JHA) forms, delivery tickets, service orders, field change orders, punch lists, warranty forms and time sheets Motivation - Be self-motivated, have the ability to work with minimal supervision, and take an active role in your own training Professionalism - demonstrate good attendance, appearance and attitude including the ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments while enhancing internal and external relationships Flexibility - other duties as assigned by Senior Delivery & Installation Technician, Installation Supervisor, Scheduling Supervisor, and Management including shipping & receiving and building & vehicle maintenance Position Requirements: Valid drivers license, valid automobile insurance and ability to travel to out-of-state job sites which may occasionally require overnight stays Ability to properly lift and move heavy office furniture Good customer service philosophy accompanied by effective verbal and written communication skills Must be able to grasp mechanical concepts without difficulty Basic ability to understand maps, floor plans and elevations Must be able to take direction and follow through Understanding and appreciation of need for accurately completing delivery and installation paperwork Must have basic tools applicable for position in accordance with posted list Adhere to all company policies and procedures and contractual relationships including but not limited to dress code, random drug testing, and confidentiality guidelines Revised June 16, 2014
