Position Purpose:

The Process Engineer’s primary function is to ensure machines are running as needed in Forming and to make sure that our products are running without error.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Development of new products and processes for new products.

· Process maintenance of existing parts and Forming machinery.

· Identify and troubleshoot tooling and plug assist issues. Work with tooling on modifications to achieve a more stable process with fewer rejects.

· Work with the quality control department on process instructions.

· Identify and troubleshoot machine problems and communicate issues with the maintenance department.

· Work with key operators on process development and troubleshooting. Identifying root causes, tooling and plug assist design with various material parameters.

· Continue to work on energy conservation and strive for new ways to reduce energy consumption.

· Manage machine computer maintenance and upgrades.

· Follow, and practice, and enforce safety procedures.

· Other duties and responsibilities to be assigned as needed.


Experience, Qualifications, and Skillset Necessary:

· High school diploma or GED and/or a minimum of five years manufacturing experience including supervision of employees.

· Awareness of thermoforming machinery and set-up procedures highly desired.

· Exceptional attendance and ability to work unplanned hours is a necessity due to the nature and demand of the position.

· Read, write, and be conversant in the English language required.

· Experience with following OSHA and Safety standards required.

· Ability to handle difficult and/or controversial employee situations and negotiations required. · Team oriented and strong level of independence required.

· Strong written and verbal communication, mathematical, organizational and management skills required.

· Ability to perform computerized time clock data entry.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred. Read, write, and be conversant in the English language required.

· Team oriented and strong level of independence required.

· Detailed oriented with strong attention for accuracy required.
