Senior Maintenance Technician

Job Description
- Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations including but not limited to ensuring a safe working environment for self and others
- Participate in plant safety initiatives, committees and activities
- Conduct mandatory MSHA pre-shift inspections on equipment and work areas in the plant
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components or electrical wiring and electrical components
- Weld, fabricate, cut, grind and operator torches
- Complete and maintain required paperwork and reports for plant equipment and maintenance projects
- Troubleshoot basic 3 Phase/equipment up to 600v
- Maintain contact with kiln operators and quality control to ensure material quality is met
- Climb into and around mobile and plant equipment to make necessary adjustments
- Participate in general cleanup of the plant area, including but not limited to shoveling and sweeping
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 3+ years of maintenance experience, preferred
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prompt, regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required and lift weights up to 60 pounds
- Ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
- Ability to be trained in mobile and industrial plant equipment
- Ability to read blueprints is a plus, but not required
